Substance Abuse Treatment
Substance use disorders (SUD) occur when the recurrent use of alcohol and/or drugs causes clinically significant impairment, including health problems, disability, and failure to meet major responsibilities at work, school, or home.
Treatment for substance use disorders is designed to help people stop alcohol or drug use and remain sober and drug free. Recovery is a lifelong process. Staying in recovery is a difficult task, so we innovate new ways to help fight relapse daily.
Mental Health Treatment
Mental disorders are classified as a psychological condition marked primarily by sufficient disorganization of personality, mind, and emotions to seriously impair the normal psychological and often social functioning of the individual.
Mental health treatment is based upon an individualized plan developed collaboratively with a mental health clinician and an individual (and family members if the individual desires). It may include psychotherapy (talk therapy), medication or other treatments. Often a combination of therapy and medication is most effective.
Life Navigators
Life Navigators coordinate their client’s treatment program and daily needs which involves getting them the right services and care. Life Navigators may perform intake interviews to determine their client’s needs and ensure their connection with the right services. They work alongside various agencies or institutions and essentially serve as the liaison between a client and the service provider. Life Navigators also act as the mediator between clients and service providers when issues between the two parties arise.
Housing
Support the culture of a community-based, client-centered, and trauma-responsive organization. Focus on supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness and will assist with housing assessments, connect people to emergency shelter in hotels or in Hennepin County’s emergency shelter units, and provide supportive case management to those living in emergency shelter or permanent supportive housing.
